AMI has teamed up with Genetag Technology, ALA Scientific Instruments, and Genetic Diagnostic Labs to fight COVID-19. We are partners and have formed a corporation called Pandem Corp, Inc.
We are in-process of producing a low-cost in-home or (Point of Care) POC test kit called SalivaMAX and a low-cost in-home test kit called DualTestMAX.
In Pandem Corp's analyses, the industry's approach to COVID-19 testing has one major drawback. The Drawback: You only get tested ONE time. Pandem Corp has determined that the most effective time to take your second test is Day 10 since COVID-19 may take an average of 6 days to incubate and 2 days to detect and an extra 2 days as a safety margin. Thus, if one tests on the 10th day, one can be confident that the second test will be a significant determinant, rather than False Negative.
Here's the good thing about ONE TEST: Both the antibody test and the molecular test are valuable because if the person does test positive, then we can stop that person and his/her contacts from spreading COVID-19 further.
However, if one tests COVID-19 Negative on Day 1, it is possible to test positive on Day 2 forward. Since the contagious period lasts for 10-12 days, it is best to test every 10 days to minimize the number of tests, yet to able to determine if you are infected. Thus, if you tested positive on Day 1 of your infection, and then after 10 days, you most likely will test COVID-19 Negative with an accurate molecular test.
Note: SalivaMAX or DualTestMAX are not FDA EUA approved yet, but we are working on it. More information is available, upon request.
